A very warm welcome to Clouded Yellow our modern lodge near Kippford. Boasting 2 bedrooms, plenty of space for socialising plus flexible accommodation, the lodge makes the perfect holiday home for a group or special family gathering. Everything about this property has been well thought through to create a relaxed and luxurious feeling, making it an ideal home away from home. As a self-catering lodge you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a kettle, a toaster, a freezer and a microwave. The kitchen is very well stocked to include washing up liquid, clingfilm, greaseproof paper, dishwasher tablets, washing machine pods, tinfoil and cooking oil. There is a separate utility room with washer/dryer, sink and space for coats/shoes/boots. The lodge is a perfect place to relax and offers a television and free wi-if. In addition there is a ceiling mounted wi-if sound system. The lodge has 2 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 5. In the first bedroom, you will find a king size bed. There is a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a comfortable twin. There is a sofa bed in the lounge suitable for 1 person. There are 2 bathrooms. The en-suite has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower. The second bathroom has a toilet and sink and a shower over the bath. Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable. A welcome pack is provided containing tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and jam. Outside there is a large decking area with seating and table and a gas BBQ. The local area provides many opportunities for outdoor activities - walking, running, cycling, golfing, sailing, fishing, birdwatching and so on. The best thing about the location is that many of these activities can be enjoyed from the lodge without getting in a car. There is an excellent beach at Sandyhills (approx 4 miles away) and some beautiful walks on the coast and in the local forests. There are 2 pubs in Kippford with additional facilities in Dalbeattie (3 miles). The pretty village of Rockcliffe is a short walk away. More widely the area offers much in the way of history, interesting towns and varied landscapes. Branded as Scotland’s Secret Coast it is full of surprises!
